New immunosuppressive activity of dykellic acid.

چکیده
Immunosuppressants are a class of compounds that reduce the effects of an activated immunesystem. These compounds have been clinically effective at suppressing organ graft rejection and in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. The most widely used immunosuppressants are natural products originally isolated from microorganism cultures. Amongthese products, cyclosporin A, FK-506, and rapamycin are probably the most well known.^ In our previous study, we isolated dykellic acid from the

Small molecule inhibitors of apoptosis hold considerable promise for the treatment of a host of diseases, including neurodegeneration, myocardial infarction, and stroke. Many compounds that delay or prevent apoptotic death either reduce the amount of cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) or are direct inhibitors of caspases. With the goal of using small molecules to identify novel antiapoptoti...
متن کاملIMMUNOSUPPRESSION IN HUMAN UTERINE TISSUES THROUGHOUT THE REPRODUCTIVE CYCLE
The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare whether the explant supernatants prepared from endometrial tissues during the proliferative phase, secretory phase and early pregnancy differ in immunosuppressive activity. Specimens of nonpregnant endometrium from hysterectomies and normal first trimester decidua following elective aspiration termination of pregnancy were obtained. ...
متن کاملاثر مهارکنندگی DNA آزاد شده از سلول سرطانی میلویید انسان (HL-60) بر روی تکثیر لنفوسیت های خون محیطی
Background and purpose: So far many protein factors capable of inhibiting the immune system are secreted by different cancer cell lines in the culture supernatant and characterized. Ïn this report, the release of DNÂ fragments into the culture supernatant of human promyelocytic cell line, HL-60, with immunosuppressive activity was investigated. Materials and methods : HL-60 culture supern...
متن کاملIn silico Screening and Evaluation of the Anticonvulsant Activity of Docosahexaenoic Acid-Like Molecules in Experimental Models of Seizures
Background: Resistance to antiepileptic drugs as well as intolerability in 20-30% of the patients raises demand for developing new drugs with improved efficacy and safety. Acceptable anticonvulsant activity, good tolerability, and inexpensiveness of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), make it as a good candidate for designing and development of the new anticonvulsant medications. Methods: Ten DHA-based...
